The use of composite materials and the continuous control of weights, in addition to the sandwich paneling of only 0.4 kg/sqm for the interiors, allowed to contain the displacement of this 36 ft boat within 130 tons. Rigged with a carbon fiber mast by Southern Spars and deck fitting by Harken (with hydraulic winches), Viriella is endowed with a lifting keel, operated by an hydraulic piston, which reduces the draft from 5.50 to 3.50 meters. The interior design, by Maxi Dolphin Project Design Team, develops around the central living. From here, towards the prow, the access to the sleeping area including the boat owner cabin with en-suite office, two double guest cabins and one three-bed guest cabin. The crew cabins are located at stern of the living room, beyond the dining room. The décor is of maple and pear wood, two clear timber species, which make the interiors brighter and create an elegant contrast with the exposed structural elements in carbon fiber.
