Maxi Dolphin was commissioned by Pier Luigi Loro Piana to build the tender for his 130-foot My Song. The general concept is by Nauta Design and the hull is by Francesco Rogantin’s Names studio. As with all MD Power yachts, construction uses the Sprint system (Sp Resin Infusion Technology). The hull and deck are made of sandwich with variable density foam, carbon and fiberglass fabrics, with epoxy resins, vacuum lamination and post-cured in an 84° C oven.

The interior is made of sandwich components. Inspired by the famous Patrol Boats, she has a cockpit with two large sundecks and, in the area protected by the hard top, two symmetrical lounges. All the fittings are easily removable to accommodate the sails and equipment from My Song. The windshield slanted toward the bow (as on work boats) to improve visibility is particularly distinctive. Below deck, there is a master cabin with a forward bathroom, a galley, and a crew/guest cabin with private bathrooms. The décor features also laminated linen on resin for the floorboards, ceilings, galley and bathroom countertops.
